The contends suggests that the project of development of the last years can’t be interrupted. On the contrary, it has to be deepened in a way to promote the overcome of the “inequalites social and economic, income distribution and the built of a country solidary, brotherhood and fair.
“We have to valorizate work and income distribution at the country”, admits Juruna, highlighting that the trade union movement has to have the main role at the 2010 elections, be cause the election campaign will be marked by the dispute of at least two political and development projects.
Unit of the centrals

The six main topics that will be voted by the plenary of the conference are growth with income distribution, valorization of decent work, state as development factor valorization of the democratic process, international sovereign and integration and trade union rights and collective negotiation.
Work valorization

For the overcome of these problems, the trade union centrals announce that will demand from the next president (man or woman) initiatives which promote the growth of economy volved to the enlargement of the internal market to generate job and promote income distribution. “Besides, the country has to invest in social politics, as health, education and popular habitation”, adds the president of the Central-AM, Vicente Filizola.
40 hours workolad

It’s only missing Lula to sign the retired 7 ,71%
At the example of the House of the Representatives, the Senate have confirmed the readjust of 7,71% to the retired who earn a value above the minimum salary. The decision have put the parliamentarians in sinthony with the desires of Brazilian society who wants and aproves this raise for all workers who dedicated a great parcel of their lifes to the construction of Brazil.
It’s been a great victory of the retired and of all Brazilian workers. The people and the parliamentarians knows that the increase in the value of the retireds stimulates consumption and, consequently, production, job and income, creating a virtuous circle that may be able to make the country grow in a sustainable way and to dratically reduce the levels of misery.
Now us, from Força Sindical, will meet the other centrals in the next days and ask for an audience with president Lula, in which we will solicitate that he to be sensitive and approves the readjust proposed the parliamentarian emend of mine, calculated with basis in 80% of the PIB plus inflation of the period of 12 months.
It’s still important to highlight that this increase will benefit 8,35 million people, injeting, in 2010, 6,7 billions in Brazilian economy. With my emend the real raise comes to 4,12%.
The trade union movement is convinced that the readjust of the retires and the end of the social security factor won’t cause a big fiscal impact if they were compared with financial speculation and in the cuts of taxes made by the government to face the economic crisis in 2009, which sumed 20 billions Reais. |

The decision was taken at the 3rd National Congress of Workers of Commerce and Services, promoted by CNTC, at the 24th to 26th of May, in Brasília, which counted with the participation of 700 delegates. According to the president of Workers in Commerce Federation of the State of São Paulo, Luiz Carlos Motta, the rule of the profession was one of the main themes of the debate.
To speed the procedures
The senator Paulo Paim (PT-RS), promised that he will fight to speed the procedures of the law project 115/2007, which deals with the subject. The writter of the matter, senator Rosalba Siarlini (DEM-RN), guaranteed to the delegates of the event that the Comission of Social Subjects will give a favorable conclusion until June, before the parliamentarians holidays.
Motta, who is also treasurer of Força Sindical, hgilighted that the category will intensify the fight against the low salaries, for the register in work card, for the workolad week of 40 hours and to avoid that the mega-fusions of companies of the sector flexibilize workers rights.
Labor force
Dieese research points that workers in commerce represent 18,6% of the total of work force at the country (total of 34,5 million workers).
According to the president of the Federation, only 7,3 million of the workers in commerce have signed card (data of the Work and Job Secretary). The commerce sector is the third biggest employer, only losing for the sector of services and industry.
Remuneration
The average remuneration of workers of commerce have been between R$625 in Recife and R$ 1.078 at Distrito Federal. However, the receipt with sales of the sector have grown 10% in 2009.

It’s necessary another national qualification program
The lack of qualified labor came back in the deadlines of newspapers, radios and televisions. There are vacancies, but there aren’t qualified professionals. The way out: some companies invest in professional courses, while others “import” labor.
Almost two thirds of businessmen in Brazil have difficulty in finding qualified people to fill in the vacancies, according to research made by an international human resources consultory.
Depending on the work, 64% of the bosses said to have difficulty in fill in vacancies with qualified professionals. Today, the S System and the federal government already don’t invest as they should in labor formation. The minister of Work, Carlos Lupi observed that the creation of 2,5 million formal vacancies in 2010 is threatened by the lack of prepared workers.
According to the minister, about 1 million workers should make some formation course, when the necessary should be 5 million students in class. The direction of Força Sindical gave the first alert sign in 2003, when the current government extinguished the national plan of qualification.
We said at that time that bosses wouldn’t find prepared employees, in case economy took back the way of growth. It was true. Without qualification people can’t get a job and the unemployed don’t come back to the job market.
Força Sindical, who, from 1997 to 2002, have qualified almost 800 thousand workers in Brazil, always claimed from the government the elaboration of a national program of qualification with enough resources for the States and private entities to make courses for Brazilian workers.
